What are the advantages to continuous concrete curbing?

Concrete curbing is far superior to other forms of landscape edging. It will not rot, rust, shift or bend. It will keep grass from invading your gardens, and there are no seems in the curb where grass can grow. It is a boundary marker to keep rock or mulch in beds. In addition, there are numerous styles and colors available.

Will the curbing equipment damage my property?

No. All of our equipment is light weight and roughly the size of push mower. All concrete is taken to the area of placement via wheel barrow. We are very observant of plants and other items in your lawn that we do not want to damage in any way. We take much pride in our ability to strictly leave your landscaping looking better than it did when we started.

Is concrete curbing done using forms?

No. The curbing is laid with the use of a machine that extrudes the concrete n the desired shape.

How long does the process normally take?

Normally, the process to install your new curb only takes one day. This, of course, is determined by the footage and type of curbing being laid.

What steps should I take to prepare my garden for winter?

To prepare your garden for winter, start by cleaning up debris, removing spent annuals, and cutting back perennial plants. Mulch garden beds to insulate plant roots and prevent soil erosion. Protect tender plants from frost damage by covering them with frost blankets or bringing them indoors. Drain and store garden hoses, and winterize irrigation systems to prevent freezing and damage.

Is the color stained or painted on to the curbing?

No. All the colors are added to the curbing during the mixing of the concrete. As a result, there will be no flaking or running of our colors. Over time, the color of the curb may fade, as do most things constantly exposed to the elements. However, sealing the curb helps to limit this fading.

Can the curbing be done in stages?

Yes. However, it is often times more cost efficient for all the curbing to be installed at one time. In addition, discounts are in place for jobs with a large amount of footage.

Will it crack?

Concrete curbing is like any other type of concrete. It can and, most likely, will crack. Cracking is deterred using control joints every one to two feet. Our expertly laid curbing experiences very little cracking. It is important to inform your lawn service to stay away from Edging for at least 28 days especially with riding lawn mowers.

How can I improve soil quality in my garden?

Improving soil quality can be achieved through various methods such as adding organic matter like compost, aged manure, or leaf mulch to enrich soil fertility and structure. Soil testing can help determine nutrient deficiencies and pH levels, allowing for targeted soil amendments. Additionally, practicing minimal tillage and avoiding compaction can promote healthy soil biology.
